The Blossom Hotel & Suites receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and convenient location. However, recent feedback has highlighted issues with room size, uncomfortable beds, inconsistent hot water, and problematic front desk staff. Notably, there were concerns raised about noise levels, staff responsiveness, and a manager's unhelpful demeanor during a guest's extended stay.
The Blossom Hotel is amazing tho king about coming to the Blossom Hotel is a YES For sure. There are romantic suites with fireplace and hot tub, or you could get a kid friendly suite with a hot tub to enjoy. 5 star review Will come back soon.
This is a good hotel if you’re on a budget. If you like higher standards, this is not your hotel. To keep it quick: Shower water doesn’t get hot, it gets warm’ish. The rooms are TINY The beds are SUPER uncomfortable Staff is friendly The lobby is very cozy and inviting The “breakfast” is cereal, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. It’s like they did enough to “check the box” for “breakfast included” but it’s the bare minimum. Very dated Pool room chlorine is so strong your eyes burn after sitting in the room for 15 minutes. Gets worse the longer you stay in there. Pool is decent Hot tub is nice and hot The view out your window is the back side of a dingy motel if your room faces west
Everything a guest could expect and more! Cannot leave enough nice truthful comments without writing a book. Will return again. I have found *the destination* in a town renowned for its destinations. Congratulations on a wonderful business and staff!
The manager Nick Trahair is a real piece of work! I checked in Thursday night, January 8 and was only supposed to stay until Saturday. When I made the first reservation upon going there Thursday night, I put down two guest me and my fiancé. But because our plans unexpectedly got extended I ended up having to book another two nights at the hotel. I was in a rush/frantic and very overwhelmed due to our plans getting extended. So upon making the reservation, I didn’t even notice that I only put one resident in the room. When I made the reservation to extend the lovely lady in the front was very accommodating. Let us stay in the same room and was very understanding of our situation. We were very happy and a lot less stress so we stayed until Sunday night and had to be out Monday morning at 11. Horrible news had us once more and we had to stay at least another night and so we thought because they were so accommodating the first time that we could just put in a new request for one more night. Upon making the reservation to extend for one last night, I had walked up to the front and was greeted with Nick being very hostile and extremely rude telling me that because I Made the second reservation with only one resident instead of two he was not going to help at all. He told me he refused to let me and my fiancé stay another night and told us to leave immediately. Tried to explain the situation that I was in a rush and I was sorry, but I didn’t understand what was the issue and I was willing to pay if there was a difference. I then made that reservation for two people the new one so surely it was a mistake. Nick then was extremely rude and told us to leave the property immediately and he would not be helping or giving us a room for that extended night. Do not stay here if Nick is the manager, we asked for a refund upon leaving and he refused To do so. Been on the phone all morning trying to get my refund back.
We have stayed here many times over the past 10 years, sometimes only one night and occasionally a few nights. We always enjoy the stay. Rooms are clean and efficiently set up, and we always get a good rate (typically off season). Our recent stay in late November was no exception. The place was beautifully decorated, coffee was always at the ready, breakfast was very good (though somewhat limited), and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I want to give a shout out to the two ladies we dealt with at the desk and the breakfast area. I wish I was sure about their names, (maybe Chelsea and Rachel?) but they were excellent!!! Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was so cozy, warm, and welcoming. Fresh baked cookies were offered at check in. The fireplace was glowing and it was still decorated for Christmas. It felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast bar was supervised by Val. She was a very charming lady. The bar offered Traverse City cherry coffee, regular coffee, and continental breakfast. The hotel is close to the airport. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in the area.
All staff was very friendly and helpful. We fully appreciated the afternoon cookies, the 24 hour coffee including decaf, plus the clean and comfortable room. We are always thankful for a refrigerator, microwave and good desk space in the room. The breakfast was good with offerings of waffles, instant oatmeal, boiled eggs, yougurt, bread items and fruit. We look forward to a future stay here.
Check in was great. Coffee and cookies were set out. Room is clean and nice we enjoyed the pool and hot tub to end our day. Morning break was simple but good. Will definitely come back
I haven't finished my stay yet but we've been here 2 days so far and it's great. It feels like home, its quiet, the people are kind, the rooms are clean. You can tell they care about this place and it isnt just a business to them. I thought the pool was just a little off, the water burns my eyes a little more than it should but we still had a good time in it.
I’ve been coming here for years, to bring my son swimming. When it was the American, Grand Stay and maybe another name in between. I’m glad it’s owned by a Grand Rapids family… but I wish so much that you would ventilate the pool area. I’m allergic to bromine so I can’t swim here at all but it fires up my skin allergies just being in the room. Toxic chemicals are part of swimming pool sanitation I understand but I think you could improve the air quality and make it a little more of a healthy environment. It makes my eyes water the minute I step into the pool area. Sorry I can’t leave a more positive review. I like the cedar and windows.. and it’s nice you let locals swim.
