A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort is a highly-rated destination for golfers seeking challenging and scenic courses, particularly the Torch, Sundance, and Antrim Dells courses. Guests consistently praise the stunning views of Torch Lake, the well-maintained conditions, and the friendly, rockstar-like staff. While some find the resort slightly expensive, the overall experience is deemed exceptional.
The two golf courses are beautiful, fun, and challenging. The condo we stayed in was somewhat dated. Clean and comfortable, just a little bit basic. Food at the resort was good, but just a little bit too expensive.
This is wonderful Northern Michigan golf. A-Ga-Ming is part of a four course operation. Torch, Sundance, Antrim Dells and Charlevoix Country Club. Each course offers you different opportunities to use EVERY club in your bag and a few you wish you had. I love the old feel of Torch and Antrim Dells. Big old trees with some makeable birdies. These two course will challenge your targeting abilities yet reward you with a good score. The Charlevoix Country Club loop is more of a challenge than the old courses yet still has some wide open fairways to let it rip. The greens are fast in the summer months so plan to slow it down and play the break. Now, Sundance is a true golfers course. Bunkers, heather, elevation, mounded fairways and manicured greens will be your challenge and your card will show it. Recreational players should hit the Dells and Torch. If you defeat those two head to The Country Club. Once you have your game down (and a few extra balls) head to Sundance. For those coming up, a stay and play might be nice. Since I'm local I don't stay. But some of the balconies I've seen look cool. A 18 Friday, 36 Saturday and a 18 Sunday would be cool. Staff is a gathering of rockstars. It is hard to find a group that likes their jobs like these people. Staff on the course do a fantastic job of making every course fun and challenging.
This place is the complete package! The Torch course was affordable, well groomed and offers views of beautiful Torch Lake. The lodge had incredible views of the lake and all the amenities you would need. Can not say enough about the friendly service from the owner. He went above and beyond! I will definitely be coming back to stay here. I highly recommend a stay and play package. So many great courses to play in this area.
All around great experience and course. The day before, we played Treetops, which ended up being a nearly six-hour round. The next day, we drove over to A-Ga-Ming to play Sundance, and it was a completely different experience. Upon entering the clubhouse, we were greeted by a friendly staff and an awesome dog. Teeing off on a Sunday morning with a threesome, we didn’t have to wait on any hole and finished just under four hours. The course was in fantastic condition, and the greens ran true. The food at the clubhouse was delicious, and the prices for everything were extremely reasonable for the caliber of facility. We are looking forward to going back in the fall.
Recently visited A-Ga-Ming during a family members birthday celebration trip. I had always heard great things about the course and was happy to finally get to experience it! We played the Torch and it offered a challenging and scenic 18 holes. The views of Torch lake on a few holes were spectacular. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly. The food in the club house was solid! Breakfast sammich and a Bloody Mary got the festivities kicked off right! I’ll definitely be back to check out the other 18 sometime.
Our group of eight came to A-Ga-Ming as part of a bachelor trip, and it could not have been a better choice. The course is absolutely stunning—rolling hills, lush fairways, and breathtaking views of the water make every hole feel like a postcard. It’s one of the most scenic courses we’ve ever played. Beyond the beauty, the playability was excellent. The layout offered the perfect balance: challenging enough for our more competitive golfers, but still enjoyable and fair for everyone in the group. The conditions were top-notch from tee to green, and the pace of play was smooth throughout. It’s definitely on the pricier side—over $100 per person for 18 holes with a cart—but you can tell the investment goes right back into the course. Everything was well maintained and professionally run, and the staff was helpful and accommodating even with a larger group like ours. For anyone planning a golf trip, bachelor weekend, or just looking for a top-tier golf experience in northern Michigan, A-Ga-Ming is well worth it. We’ll be talking about this round for a long time.
