We really enjoyed our stay at Betsie Riverside Resort! We are from Michigan but we still travel Up North to the area often and this time I decided to search for places with pools and BRR popped up and I was sold after reading the reviews. We love to camp/stay in cabins and our kids love pools, so this was the best of both worlds for us! I was excited that the pool was indoors in case it rained because most campgrounds just have outdoor pools and you're at the mercy of mother nature (although it ended up being gorgeous our entire weekend anyway). The messages we received from BRR ahead of time were very thorough and informative, so getting there and checking in was flawless. Our cabin (#7) was quaint and had all the space our family of 5 needed (2 BR with a twin + full in one room, and another full/queen? in the other room) so it was perfect for the 3 kids to stay in their own room. The cabin had everything you could ever need for your stay. It overlooked the river and was set the furthest back in the property away from the road. #7 is part of a duplex with #8 but we didn't have any neighbors during our stay. We travel often, nearly every month, and this cabin was quite honestly top 2 cleanest places we have ever stayed (if not the cleanest) which I truly appreciate because I'm a bit of a clean freak. The pool area too was meticulously clean and up kept, even multi-million dollar hotel chains we stay at have terrible pools compared to this one. The paint and tile job looked brand new still, and I loved the non-slip mats in the bathroom for kids' sake. The pool water itself was also incredibly clean. Just perfect, really. They have cable TV which my kiddos appreciated and they also really loved spotting James, the resident feral cat the owners are gracious enough to help out. I think the only thing that we had difficulty with was our showerhead faucet handle, I think a replacement would definitely help that matter. Overall, excellent all around! I'd choose BRR over a hotel any day. Thank you for having us, we hope to return someday!

Rented cabin 6, so clean, great layout to utilize the small space, and was a great way to vacation with little ones! My daughter would excitedly point out the window each morning to "the views!!!" The stocked kitchen was very helpful as well! Pool was very well taken care of and the location was a quick drive to a number of beaches and hikes. Can't wait to come back soon!

Way better than staying at a hotel. Nice clean cabins with wifi and a/c on the river. Has a nice clean pool house with a tub. What more could you ask for! Stay here instead of a hotel, you wont regret it.

Husband and I were looking for a simple,quiet weekend away. BRR met our needs perfectly. We stayed in Cabin 9 which is just steps from the indoor pool. The pool and hot tub area were immaculately clean and well maintained. The cabin itself was also clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, cutlery, glassware, etc ... Bathroom towels are fine. Pleasantly surprised by premium TP:). Hosts are friendly and helpful. Our visit corresponded with the end of fishing season and the resort was filled with fisherfolk who were very pleasant neighbors.

My husband used to come here as a kid with his family(different name and owners) and would always talk about it fondly. After we had our daughter we decided to revisit his memories and booked a stay in 2022. We stayed in Cabin 3, one of the single/studio cabins, which with a one year old was just fine. Loved the experience then (he fished, we stayed around the property or ventured into nearby towns for the scenery) and agreed we would definitely love to come back. Weve been busy since then(purchased and fixing up a piece of property which takes both time and money) but we were FINALLY able to return this year. Booked our stay in Cabin 8, seperate bedroom this time as our daughter is now 4, for a week at the end of Sept/very beginning of Oct. Though we would have thought it impossible, we enjoyed our stay even more. Chris and Misti are very attentive and helpful. We did enjoy the pool/spa and playground this time but were also comfortable taking the whole family on the river to fish this time, which made all the difference. It was my first time salmon fishing and I cant believe how much I enjoyed it. Had a hard time leaving, both the river and the vacation. Already planning on coming back next year for a longer stay. Absolutely delightful stay. Super clean rooms. Nice surprises with available utensils and bath supplies. Outstanding customer service. Beautiful, charming location. Quiet and relaxing with the river. So pleased to meet wonderful guests who have been returning for years. The pool and the spa was the perfect end to our day.

I had an awesome time staying at Betsie on my anniversary. Part of a vacation is where you stay and trust me, this was much better than a hotel. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and fun as possible. They let us borrow board games and DVDs for entertainment while we were staying and they also have firestarters if anyone(like me) forgot to bring some. They also provide a fully stocked kitchen and only ask that you wash them before you leave(a fair ask). The only problem that I could see some people complaining about is the fact that there may be a spider or two in the cabin because well, you are outdoors, but they regularly spray for ants and such to keep it as clean as possible. Cleaner than any hotel I've stayed in. Wonderful hosts, wonderful cabin, wonderful area. Would for sure go again.

From check in to check out, I felt welcome and comfortable during my stay. The cabin was very clean with a large fridge appliances and comfortable bed. Great WiFi also! The staff were very kind and helpful. The only reason I gave location 4 stars is due to closeness of the highway & sounds, but that is uncontrollable; the sounds of nature usually was louder anyways! I will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here! The owners were super friendly and helpful, and took extra time answering our kids’ questions about rocks in the area. It was located conveniently to restaurants and a grocery store to stock up on food. Also, the indoor pool was really nice and perfect to spend a couple hours especially on a rainy day. We did the Betsie River kayak from the camp. We had a great time, but I would definitely not recommend it for beginners. It was not particularly difficult if you have experience kayaking, but there is a lot of maneuvering required that would be very difficult for beginners.
