Tru by Hilton Traverse City offers a clean and comfortable stay with a modern design and friendly staff. Recent reviews highlight the convenient location, good breakfast options, and comfortable beds, but some guests have noted a lack of certain amenities like a pool or coffee maker. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers seeking a well-maintained and welcoming hotel experience.
Room was great. Didn't have a coffee pot in room. Some minor cleaning attention, breakfast was good. Attendant at the desk Wed was a little rude when I asked about the pancake machine. Great location for the area. Beds were comfortable.
This hotel was great! I was greeted by I believe Kathleen. She was sweet and helpful. The rooms were clean. I love the vinyl flooring instead of nasty carpet. Location was great. ONLY issue I had was the blinking smoke detector above the bed that kept me up and the water pressure. Took forever to rinse my long hair. Otherwise great stay, price was good, front desk was awesome. I did not have breakfast, however it looked good. Little omelets, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal. Typical hotel breakfast.
Overall, the rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly, which we really appreciated. Check-in and the general atmosphere were smooth and welcoming, and we didn’t run into any issues with the basics of the stay. The only real downside for us is that the hotel does not have a pool or hot tub, which would have made the stay a lot more enjoyable, especially for a longer visit or a family stay. That’s something we personally look for when booking. Aside from that, everything was decent and comfortable, just missing those extra amenities that would have made it stand out more. If you’re just looking for a clean place to sleep with good service, it does the job well.
We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff at this hotel. Friendly greeting upon arrival and hassle free check in. Rooms were clean and odor free. Main lobby area cute and clean. Hot breakfast good. Julie was very friendly and helped our little guy at the pancake station. She kept the place spotless and with a smile on her face. Very hardworking lady and this hotel is lucky to have her. We will be back. Thank you Julie and staff. Kind regards Sanja
I had a very pleasant two night stay. I enjoyed using the fitness center and the complementary breakfast in the morning. What I appreciated the most is the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel overall. Ana was a very helpful and friendly staff member.
We stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday! The room was clean with a beautiful view! The staff was super friendly and even gave a birthday basket in the room to my boyfriend! We enjoyed our stay!
The room was clean and comfortable. The food offered for breakfast was a good selection and tasty. The staff was friendly. Our only disappointment was no microwave in the room. Otherwise excellent stay.
Basically everything was as expected. Staff was helpful, rooms were clean, no major issues at all. Convenient location to get into downtown plus the surrounding areas. Was only about 40 minutes to sleeping bear, 30 min from old mission point. Food left something to be desired but such is the norm for hotel breakfast.
Very nice place to stay for a short weekend. The staff was friendly and engaging. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Very minimalist. The only complaint I would have is no coffee maker in the room, and the breakfast options were less than we were expecting. Overall, a nice experience.
We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful—especially Sara (spelling?) who gave me great recommendations for a spa, shopping and restaurants close by. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and we felt safe throughout our stay. The hotel overall was always well maintained inside and out. The lobby was my favorite spot, second only to the comfortable outdoor sitting area. It’s colorful with lots of windows, comfy couches, swing chairs, tables and chairs, plus snacks and drinks for purchase. Coffee area too. TVs and pleasant music playing made it even more inviting, and the two foosball tables added a fun touch—almost like a college dorm vibe! We’ve stayed here before and will definitely be back again. The only con would be that it could use an awning over the front entrance for unloading in the rain and a shade over the outdoor sitting area. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Traverse City!
