This was such an unexpectedly cute place. Don’t let the old motel look on the outside fool you. The rooms are newly renovated and have a fresh look about them. It’s very homey as well, with little touches such as using normal colored/printed sheets that make it feel less like an institutionalized hotel and more like you are staying as a guest in someone’s home. We had the Family Room, so it had two full-sized beds and a bunk bed with a trundle under it. We didn’t use the trundle, but everyone else found the beds comfortable. There was also a love seat & small dining table. We loved there was a Keurig with a variety of K-cups and creamers to choose from. The pool was also really nice and well-maintained. Only 3-ft deep, mind you, but they had a bunch of floaties and pool toys available as well, so my teen boys had a blast. The breakfast is very basic, with cold grab and go options such as bagels, scones, granola bars, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. But oh my, our room overlooked a pond and the frogs(in June) are deafeningly loud at night if you keep your windows open! We did have a hard time shutting one of the windows once it was open (the crank was broken) and had to pop the screen out to manually shut it. Overall, very nice place, and I thoroughly recommend it!

We had a great stay here on 5-16-26. Our room was spotless. The A/C worked well. We were able to check ourselves in without issue. We had a last minute change and Jake got us a different room at the same price. We also had an issue with our payment as our booking card was declined due to a change. We straightened this out and really enjoyed our stay. We went for an early morning walk along the water and trail and found Beulah to be a great little town.

The Coastal Inn in Beulah, Michigan, is absolutely wonderful. The room is very clean with updated flooring. The bathroom is huge! My evening check-in was after the lobby had closed, but the owners left me a text on how to access my room via a key in a lockbox next to my door. When I texted the owner, his response was immediate, helpful and welcoming. My son owns a business in Beulah and I usually stay with them, but I’ll be staying here at the Coastal Inn whenever I visit from now on. There’s a large swimming pool, but it was closed for the season. Book here—you won’t be sorry!

I turned my day trip to Lake Michigan into a two day mini vacay and had to find a place to stay on the fly. Based on other reviews I chose Coastal Inn…and I could not have been happier. This place is a little gem! The room was just perfect. I found the bed to be very comfy and I slept really well. I was told by the lovely lady working there (sorry I forget her name!) that the beds were all recently replaced along with all the TVs. The shower had excellent hot water supply and water pressure…my room had a shower/tub combo. Shampoo/Conditioner/Shower Gel triple dispenser was available in the shower as well. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer, shower caps, and make up remover towelettes all provided in room. Outside in the courtyard was a pool (closed for the season) and a lovely little fire pit area with chairs and benches. Firewood was already chopped and provided next to the fire pit. There was a propane grill and a charcoal grill to use if needed. Enough grassy area to play with kids or give your dogs a little walk. They even had a clothesline provided to dry towels after swimming or clothes that needed air drying. The lobby doesn’t always have a person at the desk as they are a smaller inn but there is a number to call or text and they respond immediately. Someone is always nearby on the property even if they aren’t in the lobby. The breakfast area in the lobby has a nice table if you want to sit down and a restroom to use. The breakfast options were really excellent for a smaller inn. They had bagels, mini waffles or pancakes, hard boiled prepackaged eggs, cereal, granola, banana bread, nutrigrain bars, powdered donut holes, yogurt, fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), milk (regular and chocolate), orange juice, coffee, tea, pebble ice machine, filtered hot and cold water. It was a great selection! I stayed in room 12 which is on the back side and the noise was minimal. I really enjoyed that. Easy access to the grassy courtyard for my pups too. Highly recommend!!!

My daughter and i stayed here last weekend . We had so much fun in Frankfort for our day trip we decided to make it a 2’day trip last minute . The hosts were so accommodating . We didn’t have anything with us for an overnight stay . The owner offered to get us a toothbrush and toothpaste , put full size shampoo , conditioner , and body wash in the room , found a fan for us and told us where we could purchase other necessities for cheap . The room was adorable and spotless. And the in ground pool was a great extra ! Pool was supplied with sun block , and plenty of adorable seating , pool floats , and pool toys . I need to have the owner come decorate my house because my daughter and I could not get over the adorable decor in the room lol . Highly recommend. We will definitely be back next year ! Also if your a campfire at night type of person they have a whole set up for it. Can’t forget the breakfast they have in the mornings . We love our morning bagels and it was awesome to wake up and head down to the lobby to grab one !

10 out of 10! An absolute adorable little place to get away. Super clean! Really nice little breakfast! Close to all kinds of beautiful spots to watch the sunset, and eat. Great little dairy King with wonderful ice cream! Front desk was super nice. Very comfortable beds! Bathroom is a bit small but Would definitely stay there again! This has been totally remodeled and they did an excellent job!

We stayed at Coastal Inn and it was incredible! We had the room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette, it was very spacious and it had 2 bathrooms. The room had everything we needed for our stay. My son enjoyed the pool and we made s’mores at the fire pit. They also had a grab and go breakfast, which was perfect for us! The location was perfect as well! The owners were so great and you can tell they put a lot of love into the place! We will absolutely stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone staying in the area with a family. We couldn’t think of one thing we didn’t like about this place!

Nice little motel. Very nice owners. I understand they have varying types and sizes of rooms. Our room had two double beds and plenty of space. Very clean room and looked to be recently remodeled. Bathroom is a little small and the shower is tight. Hot water situation is tricky. Overall building easily lets noises through, especially with families with rambunctious children. Pool looked nice even though we didn’t have time to use it. Lobby/check in area has limited breakfast available but nice.
