We booked this room a few weeks in advance on one of the popular hotel booking websites. Upon arrival we went to the empty lobby to check in. It was kind of dirty with food crumbs on the table, an almost empty box of dollar store donuts and dirty drinking glasses. There was a note with a phone number to call if you wanted to check in. We called and were given a code for our room. When we went inside we were greeted with a humid, musty smell which was obviously trying to be masked by a noxious overpowering Febreeze like perfume. I asked my wife if she wanted to leave but we decided we would tough it out and started unpacking. At first the room looked clean enough but if you look a little closer you’ll notice black mold around the windows and in corners on the walls. The floor and counter top were dirty as well. We were still willing to stay but after about 15 minutes I was starting get a sore throat and finding it a little hard to breathe. My wife’s nose started to run and we decided we couldn’t stay in the room due to the smell. We found the maid and explained to her about the condition of the room. She was nice enough but she smelled strongly of alcohol and appeared intoxicated. She told us to call Kelly, who was the owner. Kelly was nice and very apologetic and said she would credit my account right away. A few days later we checked and we never got credited. We called back and she told us to try to get a credit through the booking website. The website said they couldn’t credit us. We were also unsuccessful trying to get our money back through the credit card company. If you’re considering booking, I would do so with caution. If you arrive and decide that you can’t stay in a disgusting room, just know that you will not get your money back.

Great little property, tucked away just off the road. No hassle parking. Very clean, spacious room and kitchenette. To-go breakfast options. Close to the Cherry Hut for lunch.

Perfect (decently priced) spot to spend a few nights in the Frankfort area. The room wasn’t fancy is anything but accommodating and clean. The continental breakfast is great and downtown Beulah is just a short ten minutes walk. The neighborhood has perfect views of Crystal Lake.

Website uses the word luxury far too many times to have worn out bedding and mattresses, peeling paint and mold in the bathroom (lets talk about the lack of space to properly wipe!), in room dehumidifyer, and no where to sit your things. A luggage rack or ice on premises, or even a water bottle at check-in could have made this better. Bed squeaked every time I moved and would have paid for extra pillows the ones on the bed were so thin. Yes a decent place to rest your head but not luxury or anything more than average.

We chose coastal suites based on the description and prior reviews. When we pulled up to the hotel, we were disappointed as it was not a “resort”, rather a motel. The room seemed clean but we were immediately hit with a moldy smell. The A/C did not help. I called and was told they would bring a dehumidifier. We waited about 10 minutes and had to leave because we felt sick. My husband is highly allergic to mold. We are now driving home (4 hours) and I have left 3 messages with Jake and no call back yet. I will dispute the charge. The rate was $309/night and we reserved 2 nights. I hope Coastal Suites makes this right.

Cozy but run-down. The bedside lamp didn’t work and the sink & shower were messed up (but still functional). The electronic door keypad didn’t work in one instance, but an employee came to help & the issue was resolved. We thought the shower was broken so we called the provided number. It took a half hour for help to come as he was coming from off-site. It turned out that the shower handle just required a lot of force to turn on. It would be good if a note was put near it so that future guests are aware. They had games in the lobby which was a nice touch.
