The staff is wonderful ! Book early this hotel makes you feel like family. They are warm friendly and will meet all your needs if they can! Sunda and Miss Laura made sure we were very comfortable! Thank you for making a work trip a mini vacation for my family. I would love to come back for a real vacation there! Beautiful rooms!!!!

The rooms are basic, toiletries products are the worst. The place is decently clean, but could use a deep cleaning, in the corners, the showers, the elevators. We had a problem with our shower & they fixed it the same day. The free breakfast does have some variety but is pretty basic, we believe the eggs are made from powdered eggs, and no bacon, only sausage patties that weren't good. The pool & hot tub was nice, clean & good temps. The snack section is convenient. The front desk staff works really long hours, not sure why someone needs to work 12+ hours. The walls of the hotel room are thin & you hear alot.

Laura in the breakfast area was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel so welcome and always made sure we had everything we needed. Their chocolate cherry coffee is delicious! The front desk staff was also wonderful. I especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room.

This is a very clean very nice place to stay located in Traverse City right on the water.. Very Beautiful views. And all staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend anyone looking into staying here don't give it a second thought book it you won't regret it... April & Tracey

Laura at morning breakfast is amazing. She makes you feel like family. Josh the maintenence manager is efficient and can do anything. Front desk staff morning and evening are helpful and welcoming. Hotel is getting older but location is perfect. The entire staff make the visit enjoyable.

All of the staff here is wonderful, breakfast is served in a beautiful dinning area but I will say I expected real eggs and meat when I saw someone cooking and prepping things. It was dehydrated eggs and microwavable sausage links. Not horrible but definitely not a fresh breakfast. The pool was beautiful and our boys spent our entire trip in it. That said we could smell a heavy chemical in the pool room and during swimming you could feel your skin itch and burn. We had our boys shower every time they got out of the pool (4 days) and on our last day they both had visible rashes and burns on their faces. It's clear that the pool has far too much chemicals and should monitored much closer. The rooms were beautiful as well, we spent our last day watching an eagle and baby hunt the bay which was awesome. The new tiled bathrooms were also beautiful but after entering to shower all four corners were full of black mold as well as the track of the shower. The bathroom vent is also in the shower and was covered in dust and muck, very hard to feel clean while trying not to touch anything in the shower. In the off season I think the prices reflect the level of stay but I would never come back for the same amenities for 500.00 a night in the summer season.

We loved our experience here!! Everything was excellent!! We especially liked the breakfast. LAURA was amazing working the breakfast. She was friendly and did an excellent job at keeping the breakfast supplied and hot!!! She deserves an A++ . Even when it was super busy she was calm and friendly . We’ll be back. We have stayed other places on the bay and this was our best!!!!

Such a pleasant experience. Staff is beyond polite and their spoken words are felt with sincerity and care for my comfortable stay here. Front desk lady named Erin is elegant, wonderfully spoken and customer service oriented. I had zero expectations upon my arrival and the staff here was amazing at how they handle all the customers to create a joyful experience for all. Breakfast was delightful and tasty, but the staffs attentiveness to all guests was what set this place above others. I am here for business travel, yet will return for a vacation away from it all to fully relax and enjoy this view of the bay without time restraints or worry about being taken care with aspect to comfort and security of a pleasant experience. A+!

We’ve stayed at The Cherry Tree several times and it never disappoints! Older hotel but with nice upgrades (love the walk-in showers). The outdoor hot tub on the beach year-round is amazing. Breakfast is included and Laura is the BEST — always so positive and friendly! Clean rooms, great staff, and unbeatable lake views.

Our stay at Cherry Tree Inn & Suites was absolutely wonderful. Changing our suite from the Wood view to the Ocean view was the right decision—worth the extra cost, especially since we were able to get a small discount. The upgraded kitchen in the room was a nice touch, though the carpet felt a bit dated. The sunset from the balcony overlooking Lake Michigan was beautiful and memorable. Staff were excellent—very accommodating and quick to provide another room when we requested the change. We enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor swimming pools, as well as the relaxing spa. Breakfast was tasty, but the area did get crowded quickly, so going early is best. Overall, we truly enjoyed our visit and would happily return
