Staff is always friendly and accommodating, location is great, everything you need is within a short distance! Rooms are clean and tidy and the cookies... Don't get me started on the cookies ?!!! They go quick for good reason! I would recommend this place to anyone coming to visit traverse city!

While a lot of hotels are moving to sterile, “modern” looks with bright fluorescent light, it was a breath of fresh air that this hotel felt more like home. Soft lighting, wood, and updated bathrooms made for a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

My review is a little different from most, yes they had clean rooms , nice things to do in the hotel, BUT it was the staff that made the stay a lot better, I was traveling From Portland, OR , to Pelston, MI. And ended up in Traverse City after 23 hours of air travel my ride was suppose to pick me up from the hotel due to car trouble, the staff went out of there way to get me back to my ride and get going home, eternally great full to them for the help in this matter, Thank to the staff at Best Western Plus in Traverse City , MI.

We all slept great in the comfortable, spacious, quiet room at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City. Even though the hotel is located on busy US 31, our room was perfectly quiet. We had the two-level, 2-queen room, and the upstairs loft was a great feature, giving us a lot more space and privacy than a typical 2-queen room. Very comfortable beds! Friendly staff. Not walking distance to downtown, but just a quick drive away. I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area. We didn't have our dog with us this time, but I appreciate that they allow dogs. Very nice hotel.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City and overall had a great experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff went above and beyond—friendly, helpful, and always ready to offer local tips or directions. Breakfast was a solid perk with a variety of options that kept everyone happy. The indoor pool was a unique highlight—not every day you come across a hotel pool that goes 11 feet deep! It added a fun, nostalgic touch to the stay. The location is also a big win. You’re less than a mile from two different beaches—perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. If you’re traveling with a pet, there are also some great walking areas just off the main road that feel safe and peaceful. The only downside was the pricing. We paid in the $200s for a weekday stay, which felt a bit steep but manageable. However, the same room jumped by over $100 just because it was the weekend. While we enjoyed the stay, it’s hard to justify $350 per night for a room that’s exactly the same as it was just 24 hours earlier. The weekend pricing felt like unnecessary price gouging, which put a bit of a damper on an otherwise great experience. Would I stay again? Yes—just not on the weekend unless prices become more reasonable.

This hotel is definitely not your up to date hotel but it is quaint and comfortable. The staff is amazing, breakfast was always well stocked and had good variety for lunch he kids to choose from. The pool is big and not too cool. The fitness room is small and has older equipment and not a full rack of free weights but it was plenty for you to get a good workout in, if there are not more than 2 people in there at a time. The rooms were okay but I would say they are a little crammed even though we had a loft room it still felt pretty snug. The beds were comfortable but pillows were a little lumpy and not super supportive, the showers were the most up to date thing in the whole room, yet it was a partial open walk in shower so you could not close in the steam that would keep you warm during a shower and made it quite uncomfortable if you needed to help a little to take their bath. Overal I would recommend because it was a nice experience.

We stayed in the 2 Queen bed loft and we loved the unique design of the room! It was nice having that separate space for the kids. Room was also very clean and spacious and had plenty of towels in the room for us! (Usually we need to grab more towels from the front desk but they had actually PLENTY in our room!) Staff was very friendly. They had fresh baked cookies in the evening and a full breakfast in the morning (bacon, breakfast nuggets—very interesting, first time trying, a variety of pastries, eggs, waffles with toppings, juice, etc). I also enjoyed using their coffee maker (various drinks to choose from). I love that the pool is open 24/7 (pool was a little chilly but we’re used to this being the case in most places). It was easy to access our room from the parking lot. Check-in/check-out was very easy. The area felt safe and the staff was super helpful. They really go above and beyond and I highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area.
