Recent guests have experienced significant noise issues due to a large hockey team staying at the hotel, leading to disrupted sleep and a lack of communication from hotel staff. While some guests praised cleanliness and location, others reported HVAC problems, inconsistent service, and smaller-than-expected room sizes. There are significant concerns regarding hotel responsiveness and value.
When I originally booked my room, I was unaware that there was a whole hockey team staying valentine weekend, so my first night, which was FEB 13, 2026, was very unenjoyable. The guests above my room were very loud and rude. Banging on floor all hours of the night, even waking me up at 2:30 and 4:00 in the morning by the sounds of them, what I am assuming was wrestling considering it sounded as if someone was being tossed around. I addressed the lady at the guest desk next morning which was FEB 14,2026 and that is when I was told about the YOUTH hockey team. I was not compensated or anything due to the lack of communication when I checked in. It would have been nice to be aware that the whole building was going to be full of loud and rude children who like to bang on floor all hours of the night, at least I could have got a refund through my app and went elsewhere. I was told I could get points towards a room but was never given information to where I would go to get that started. The Manager did in fact change my room to the top floor for my second night, which was more relaxing then the first night.
Update 2/15, to respond from their response??? Unacceptable Response? Why are Customers Informing You If the HVAC Issues? Do You Ever Inspect The Work(Or Lack of Work) If Your Employees??? Patrick Response?? Newer hotel. This my second stay on this location. Both visits, filters on HVAC unit NOT CLEANED. If you have never checked these I RECOMMEND YOU DO. Your breathing in someone ( multiple someone's) else's hair, smell, dust, gross? Room did not have HVAC on, so it was chili in room. Usually with non low budget hotels, they have HVAC on and usually mints on our pillows. FYI take pictures upon arrival to room. Both visits there was disgusting stains "UNADDRESSED, UNKNOWN" to staff. Not getting charged their incidental fee for lack of inspection by staff. This will be OUR last choice visit in TVCA for now on.
bed was super comfy, products provided were nice, bathroom was cool, everything was clean and stocked. perfect location we had no problem getting affordable ubers to downtown. very satisfied!!! will stay again
The simplicity of the room with no carpet, no coffee service or closet. The room was clean, the heating quiet and the lighting perfect. The only thing was that the lights in the bathroom were on one switch and it was so bright! Separate switches so that a soft light for night use. Enjoyed the 24 /7 coffee and water service in the main lobby. We will stay in another if it is available in the city we are staying.
Nice hotel, good value for the price. It’s a convenient location and check in was very friendly and fast. My favorite part was the coffee in the lobby, that machine is magical. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety. The only thing I didn’t love were the strong artificial scents in the lobby and hallway.
New hotel so very clean and contemporary. The room has everything you need though it's more compact than IHG holiday inn Express rooms are. Hot Breakfast was nice. We had a small view of the lake across the street so also nice. I would stay again.
Watch the post booking site fees once you arrive. I am a marriott member typically and was unaware the residence inn opened. Almost exact same price and no comparison. If you’re in it for the bare bones, but we’ll get you by feel then this will work, but if you stayed in a Marriott branded hotel series, including the residence inn this place will simply just make you upset you spent the same amount of money for 50% of the quality. Service and location were excellent, but unfortunately, I won’t be back.
Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless and very well maintained. The hotel lobby had an elegant scent that made a great first impression. The front desk staff were extremely kind and accommodating with all our requests. The bed was so comfortable—we slept like a dream. Highly recommend this hotel!
Room and hotel was very clean but surprisingly small. Requested early arrival and top floor but received neither. No fault of hotel but difficult to make a left turn due to traffic. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon crumbles? We went to Bob Evan’s next door
