The last 24 hours have been a nightmare for me, including being left out in the snow for 5 hours before the Goodwill Inn stepped in to help. I want to give a huge thank you to Michelle at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful, respectful, and kind to me during a very low point. ?I am currently in a corner room b I'my a car wash and slamming doors, which has my traumatized dogs on edge and barking. I spoke with Michelle about moving, and while she was very sympathetic, the hotel was full and couldn't move us. ?I also want to note that the toilet in the room wasn't working when I arrived. I ended up fixing it myself so the next guest wouldn't have an issue, and I let the staff know just so they were aware. I am so blessed to have this roof over my head, but between the noise and the lack of sleep, it has been a very difficult stay. I'm grateful for the respect Michelle showed me while I try to navigate this.

It is always a pleasure to stay here. It is always quiet, clean, and they even have dog treats in the lobby if you have a dog with you! Sunny, the agent at the front desk, is always so polite and considerate I told my sister he always brightens my day and makes me want to stay at this particular hotel. I visit Traverse City often as my Dad lives here and I always look forward to staying at this hotel!

Was looking for a getaway and break from work, which is pretty rare for me. Wasn’t impressed with the service and tried to address that directly but it wasn’t taken seriously. A 70 dollar room should receive the same class service as any other highly priced room I believe. I ended up with athletes foot which I’ve never had as far as I recall. It should be noted that it’s just a room. Nothing more. And blankets cannot be delivered. I promise I’m not one to complain about vacation because I always used to see it as a luxury. Emailed called and no discount or retry or refund. So not at all a fan as I take my limited income very seriously and this is a higher priced luxury.

Website says pet friendly but nothing regarding an extra charge. Got there and he said we can decide the charge of whatever we want when you get here!! Are you serious?? Then made me fill out paperwork proving my dog was for my disability and what he could do. Even though I had oxygen strapped to my face when I walked in. Also nasty sticky stuff on the nightstand and we have only been checked in for 15 minutes at this point. Also although it says pet friendly but then after you drive 100+ miles to get here their paperwork says NO CATS ..thank you Lord I didn't have a cat.

So unhappy. The TV is tiny, the room is tiny, the carpet is ugly and outdated. I went through Booking.com..never again. But what really sucks is I didn't get a jacuzzi tub. No where in the website does it give you an option to choose one. Nor does it say not all rooms have them. So I assumed I would have one..nope. just a crappy tub. Not even able to upgrade. If you go through booking and pay through booking, you are locked in, and believe me, they will screw you and give you the worst rooms they have.

Cheap, business (I work with chooses for me) very comfortable and clean available for emergency in terms of one hour notice. Worked well for my needs. My original pre paid unit (competitor) across town was without power, a large area was effected for a unspecified amount of time. When that happens, the policy states all guests cannot return to their rooms. Not very much fun

Room wasn't ready on time upon check in. Yet, I witnessed multiple guests come in after us and get checked in. We were also told for an additional $20 fee they could get it ready for us... What???? The day we checked out, my husband started taking items to the car and had to espn all the way around to come back in because the key card was not working. We checked mine and it wasn't working either. When we checked out I mentioned it to the girl at the front desk and she seemed very irritated that I interrupted her watching her phone. When I mentioned that it was frustrating that they deactivated our keys before check out, she made a face and said they did not. Both keys did not work. She shrugged her shoulders and just stared at me. She was irritated that I had a complaint and keeping her from her phone. Had I been helping my husband load our vehicle, we'd have been locked out. This didnt even phase her. On the end, I was more mad at her attitude than the keys not working. She was rude. Based on our check in and check out experiences, I'd never recommended this hotel. Not to mention the room itself was not on the best upkeep. Bad experience all around.

My only negative is that the bathroom needs redone. Getting rather rusty on the fixtures and the tub overcoat is peeling. Otherwise, the room was very clean and freshly remodeled. Nice size LG tv with cable channels. Simple breakfast options are decent. Staff were polite. Wifi is worse than mobile data speeds. Can't hear other guests through the walls. Simple but great for the price. Even had a bit of a bay view through the east facing window.
