We have stayed at Ellis Lake Resort many times, in a few different cabins, and each trip is amazing. Becky and team are extremely welcoming and kind and the cabins are always clean and cozy. We visited the resort with our first baby, and since then we have been back each year. ELR has become an annual trip for my family (of now 3 kids!) and we look forward to staying again. We were also blown away by Becky mailing us a baby toy that we thought was gone forever! THANK YOU for everything, Becky and team. We highly recommend Ellis Lake Resort.

My husband and I rented out the entire property for our wedding weekend and had the most amazing time! The cottages are perfectly quaint, and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. All of our friends and family had a blast staying on the property together, and are already trying to make it an annual trip

My now wife and I spent a 3-night weekend at Ellis Lake this past August for our wedding at BlueBridge next door. Our families stayed at the cabins, as well. Ellis Lake met and exceeded our expectations. Becky and her team (especially T!) went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They were flexible and patient with us when we had questions. The cabins were cozy and picturesque. The gathering green space and lake access were beautiful and well utilized throughout the weekend. I would highly recommend Ellis Lake for everyone, but especially for wedding groups. Lots of space for everyone, and the resort is so calm and serene. If you get married at BlueBridge, there is a quick nature trail that you can take to/from BB and ELR. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Thank you to Becky, Steve, and the entire Ellis Lake Resort team!

We loved our stay at Ellis Lake Resort! We were in town for a wedding at the venue next door, and we were able to walk to the wedding. We were greeted upon arriving and felt like family right away. They are the only site on the lake, so when we went out kayaking we had the lake to ourselves, and it was beautiful! Hot tub was great and the cabin was clean and smelled good too. Thanks for the friendly care and cozy stay!

My partner and I can’t recommend this place enough! We had our wedding next door and finished the night at the Doghouse cabin with friends and family in the other cabins. The cabins were so cozy and came with nice amenities, including water toys and hammocks for the kids. Also, the beds were REALLY comfy. The bonfire setups were perfect and they even had skewers that you could borrow at the front desk. Would definitely come back!

My wife and I got married at BlueBridge next door, and we rented out all of the cabins at Ellis Lake Resort for our immediate families and wedding party. In short, it was a dream. The Red Bud Lodge in the back is a beautiful modern cabin where my wife and I stayed, and also where we hosted the wedding after-party with lights strung in the trees and a late night dance party. The property has plenty of space between cabins and room to explore. We hosted a rehearsal barbecue the day before the wedding out by the lake. The staff at Ellis Lake Resort was lovely and so accommodating. All of our guests loved the cabins and the convenience of being together on the same property. We highly recommend considering Ellis Lake Resort if you love northern Michigan, forests, lakes, and an outdoorsy vibe.

Ellis Lake Resort is a true hidden gem. We got married next door at Bluebridge Events Center, and rented out the entire resort for our bridal party. The cabins are a 5 minute trail walk from the venue, so it made for a wonderful “summer-camp” type experience. Each cabin is so unique, and has a beautiful charm. They are all outfitted with AC, full bathrooms, full kitchens, and comfortable beds/furniture. I cannot speak highly enough about Becky & Tee. Becky runs the front desk, is very communicative, and does not hesitate to go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Tee is the head housekeeper, and is an absolute gem of a human being. During our 4 night stay, she worked non-stop to make sure that we were well taken care of. She organized the moving of tables, created custom citronella planters, and even made us an herb garden keepsake! We look forward to visiting here again, as most of our guests expressed interest in making this camping trip a yearly occurrence.

My husband and I stayed at the Red Bud with another couple for a kid free weekend and had a wonderful stay. We are already planning our next trip back! The cabin was exceptionally clean. Plenty of clean towels and linens. This cabin was secluded at the back of the property with trails leading to the lake. The private hot tub was perfect to relax in after a day of fishing and exploring Traverse city. The owners are so nice and helpful. The Bud's cookies and fresh flowers are such a welcoming touch upon arrival. Can't wait to come back and bring the kids with us next time.
