Lakeshore Resort consistently receives positive feedback for its excellent location, beautiful beach, and family-friendly atmosphere. However, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding outdated accommodations and inconsistent maintenance, particularly regarding air conditioning and bed quality. While valued for its convenient access to Traverse City and the professionalism of the management, improvements are needed to address these recurring issues.

I stayed at one of Bayshore's properties outside of Traverse City with my extended family over the 4th of July holiday. The property was great (spacious, well kept, clean) and I was very pleased with the communication from the Bayshore team leading up to our stay as well as during our stay as there were minor things we needed assistance with while there (for example, the hot tub hadn't been fully cleaned and they were quick to address the issue - including giving us a small gift for the inconvenience) I was also very pleased with the professionalism and willingness to work with me to address a couple of issues that came up after our stay. I would highly recommend using Bayshore for your next vacation!

We love this place, this was out 4th year coming and we just love the beach, all the people, staff. They are great. The rooms are a little outdated but they are working on that and making great strides for improvement

This is our family’s 13th year at Lakeshore Resort. Our family, all 21 of us, love Lakeshore Resort. The beach is beautiful and the scenery is great!

We spent over $1000 for less than a week here and had nothing but issues and we were only 2 days in. When we arrived at check in during a heat wave the AC was out and they said they were sending someone. They showed up an hour later and the HVAC guy was great and honest and let us know they had 25yo AC units that they weren't maintaining properly so there was no fixing it. The resort offered to move us to a different cabin for the first night then another cabin for the rest of our stay. We booked a private cabin but ended up in an attached one which we did not really want. They told us they would let us know when the 3rd cabin was ready for us to move and said it would probably be around 1pm. At 12 we got a rude call saying the cleaning people were there to clean our second cabin and they knocked (they did not) and that we need to get out basically. We asked if that meant the 3rd cabin was ready and they said it was, so we packed up our stuff again and moved. Then the 2nd night we went to go to bed in this "newly renovated" 3rd cabin and the cheap ikea bed legs started to give way as soon as we layed down. We messaged the office about it and received no response at all. And again this is only 2 nights into our 4 night stay. We adjusted the legs and were very careful for the rest of our trip but we were very disappointed in this stay. We would not recommend this place to anyone and we will not stay here again. Dont let the cheap "remodeling" fool you.

We reserved this on Airbnb so this is about that service. My biggest issue is that they charged a super high cleaning fee and then also asked us to do lots of clean up. In my mind, it's one or the other. Either charge me a high cleaning fee and then take care of everything OR charge a nominal fee and ask us to pitch in. But not both. We were there on a weeknight and weekend in shoulder season so it was definitely less crowded than usual. The location is awesome. Right on the beach. Good parking. Chain food nearby (meh). Short drive to downtown. Our unit was super dated. Which was fine but the one next door was super cute and chic (and I'm sure waaaaay more expensive). The key part? We had two beds for two adults AND two bathrooms! That was great. The showers are absolutely tiny. So tall and larger folks beware.

Our family stayed at The River Pitch over Thanksgiving weekend. The home was great! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and everything was super clean. Hosts were great- lots of communication, quick response to questions, and attention to details- it is obvious that they appreciate their guests. We took advantage of the sauna and the billiard room. The property is awesome, located right on the Boardman River. The grounds were perfect- we grilled out, had a bonfire, and enjoyed having a quiet place to unwind and re-connect as a family. House is conveniently located to Traverse City, and we were able to enjoy some night life and then return on Saturday morning for the Farmer's Market and to shop locally. If you love nature, there are many hiking trails nearby. WiFi worked great and if you're looking to be able to get away and enjoy Nature but still need to be able to plug in for work, this place has you covered. We loved our time at The River Pitch and added it to our list of things we are grateful for.

We recently stayed at the Panoramic Penthouse condo in Traverse City. The condo was absolutely wonderful! It had all the amenities we needed for our entire stay, a great location to walk downtown and to the parks, and a beautiful view! The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped, the bathrooms were bright and the bedrooms were a nice size. Very clean, too. Management was wonderful and so easy to work with! I would highly recommend this location and Bayshore Vacation Rentals. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the River Pitch for a little fall remote work getaway. The location was fantastic, secluded enough to make you feel like you are in a cabin in the woods with a spot on the Boardman River, but also close enough to modern conveniences. Internet and amenities were great. Lots of outdoor space and paths to walk to the river on the property. Enough room for a small family plus additional loft space with extra beds for kids. Overall we enjoyed this gem of a place in Northern Michigan and can only imagine how fun it would be in the summer with all of the activities.

Bayshore Vacation Rentals helped us find a last minute rental in Traverse City when we needed to get up there quickly due to a family emergency. Our rental condo was very conveniently located and a quick trip to wherever we needed to go. The condo was spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated. We really appreciated the fact that the dishes and glassware matched and were in good condition. We also appreciated a generous supply of very nice towels, which isn’t always typical in a vacation rental. The bedding was also very nice. Only complaint is a relatively weak WiFi connection, but I think that is a building problem vs. a rental agency issue. This is the second time we’ve rented from Bayshore Vacation Rentals and we’re impressed with the high quality of their rental units and their prompt and helpful customer service. We will definitely rent from them again.
