Guests praise the beautiful accommodations and friendly booking support, particularly through the Peninsula Bay Resort. However, the company receives severe criticism regarding rude management behavior and unresponsive customer service if urgent issues arise.
All I have to say is the rental property management Bobby Joe is rude as can be and has completely denied me from doing business with them in the process of me looking for a house. all because I continuously called and tried to get a showing on this house for the last Month! I was told by Bobby Jo herself that she spoke with her managers and they will no longer be doing business with me . My opinion, that is just wrong just dramatic and very unprofessional if they would’ve been doing their job correctly no one would have had any negative things to say… they should really think about it that way instead of canceling their clients, due to the real-estate rental departments unprofessional ways ! I am extremely disappointed and shocked in their performance and I have let many friends and family know to not rent nor buy from these guys they’re 3.3 Stars should be a 1 ! if I could give no stars, I would! Shame on you for creating drama and not helping people which is what you’re here to do this place should be taken down or get new management!!
This was our 3rd year back to beautiful Traverse City,MI for a week long vacation! We stayed in a gorgeous condo at Peninsula Bay Resort. The accomodations were beautiful and very comfortable Our balcony overlooked the pristine Bay. We would definitely recommend staying at a Schmidt-Rogers property.You'll have everything you need for a peaceful,relaxing,and super fun time! Yolanda M.
Our family has a tradition of going up to Traverse City in the summer and for the last 2 years we have booked through Schmidt-Rogers Management. Both years they have been responsive and helpful through the process of booking and through our stay. This year we had a non-critical request and they responded and addressed our request within an hour. We look forward to booking through them next year for our annual trip to Traverse City!
The glaring issue with this company is communication and it is a major issue. If you put in a request for maintenance they never follow up even if it takes longer for the technician to come out (which is not the technician’s fault since they are very busy usually). The front desk almost never answer the phone and will rarely call back. If there is an urgent matter at hand with livability issues I’d be worried. Maybe you have to go into their office to reach them. It’s not hard to make an effort to communicate but they don’t seem to make such an effort. Looking at other reviews, it seems others have a similar complaint so it’s not just me.
I have lived on a property managed by Schmidt Rogers for nearly 4 months. My experience thus far after initiating and seeing through 2 maintenance requests in addition to a few other miscellaneous transactions unfortunately leaves quite a bit to be desired. Currently, my confidence specifically in that future urgent (meaning detrimental to livability) matters will be taken care of ASAP with genuine concern and care for my and my fellow tenants health & well-being from Schmidt-Rogers Management is very shaky. As a summation of my overall experience thus far with Schmidt-Rogers Management, I see that they could use a STRONG improvement in the areas of Integrity, Communication (between management and myself as a tenant AS WELL as within Schmidt-Rogers Management company themselves from one employee to the next, to the next, and so on...) Reliability, Respect, and Equal Treatment/Prioritization amongst all properties regardless of social, financial, and/or professional status. Now I'm not saying that everything has been terrible, as Schmidt-Rogers has done good by my household in a few small areas; I'm still going to be optimistic and patient to see how other situations are handled in the future. Again: by no means am I saying they are a terrible company, I just believe there is some serious room for improvement and I REALLY hope to be able to amend this review in a positive light near in the future!
this is the worst experience I have ever had renting. Do not use this company unless it is the only option you have. I do not leave public reviews but i had to make a exception for this horrible company. 2 times I had to request maintenance on plumbing issues in the bathroom and both times it took them over a week to fix and both times they have tried to charge me over 1,000$ afterwards. I have had a running faucet in my bath tub for over a week now and they still have not fixed it. They have however charged me 1000$ without notice and have ignored all my attempts to contact them while also ignoring to repair the leak.
