Great location! Comfy bed and nice amenities. Would love to stay again and get out on the lake. Appreciate the detailed information for check in and locating the property.

Like the other comment from someone who stayed during the winter (that I got in touch with), we got scammed by this place. We were very thankful to have a place to stay during the winter months while we were buying a home. The place was nice and the views were wonderful. We definitely had some issues though. The couch was almost un-sitable. Straight from the 70's and SO uncomfortable. At first they weren't going to let us have control over the heat/air... I almost left after finding this out. Trying to watch TV- people were constantly changing our channels and we always got alerts that people were trying to log on to our TV. You could hear absolutely everything from the people below us. EVERYTHING. Constant fights all day... 1am... 3am. We were always trying to hide the screaming and slamming from my 3 year old. These people smoked right outside our front door. Their loud cars woke us up every morning. They would sit in their car while smoking and the car would literally shake the entire house- for hours! Management did absolutely nothing. We were told the place would be filled with people living there for the winter, but that was not the case. As we're trying to live life, work and raise our daughter, people were partying all night, throwing trash everywhere and parking in our assigned spot (which is a pet peeve of mine). Such disrespect. Moving out, I asked what all they needed from us. They said to just take all our belongings and remove any trash. That's it. We did all that and cleaned as well. I was there until 1am cleaning. I took photos and videos when I left. I had to ask for over a month where our security deposit was. Over a month. Michigan law is 30 days otherwise we are supposed to get the ENTIRE security deposit back. After asking several times, I finally got an email stating that I owed $2300. Hahahahaha. They charged for the area rug that just needed a shampooing. They charged me for the ENTIRE fridge because there was a scuff on the front (that was also there in my moving in photos, fyi). They charged me for sheet that were dirty. They charged me for 14 hours of deep cleaning! HOW? They clearly replaced everything, so there was no cleaning involved. I questioned them on this and was told the condition in which I left was the "worst they've ever seen". I did what they asked. Removed all garbage, removed all my stuff and made sure the place was tidy. I also paid a cleaning fee, so no, I wasn't going to deep clean the place. I was told they were "willing to call it even". Since I took a video upon moving, I wrote them back and questioned several things. I was then threatened. I was told that the owner has sued people for much less and that I should not push it further. The ONLY time I heard from the owner was when he sent an email telling us we had to be out at the end of the month... I already knew this, but thanks for making us feel welcomed? I think Luke needs to be reminded of Michigan Laws on security deposits. I have been in touch with others that have rented from him in the past, and he did the same to them as well. It was all just a reminder of locals mean nothing and we cater to the tourists. I would not give this scam a deposit.

This place is a gem. This was our first time at S.L. rentals. Our family of five was looking for a last minute quick little vacation and we were pleasantly surprised to find availability here. The pontoon rental allowed us to get out to the amazing sand bar and make a day on the lake swimming and laughing! The second day was spent on the paddle boards and kayaks where we found other sandbars to swim splash and explore. We spent the evenings being foodies in Traverse City and enjoying the many amazing restaurants they have. We will be back and we may bring some more family with us next time!

The beach is a little small so it is for like one family. But the water is so warm and the price on the Pontoon is well priced at 400 for the day and 200 for half of the day. We wanted to have a bonfire but there were always people at the fire pit so we got to the fire fireplace quickly

Our church has rented this retreat facility since 2021 for a weekend each April. The facility is clean, comfortable, fully furnished, separate meeting rooms, and a spacious game room with many activities. The rooms are synonymous with a five-star hotel. The view of Spider Lake and the surrounding area is breathtaking. The retreat this year is scheduled for 4/25-4/27/2025. There will be at least 45 ladies in attendance.

We have enjoyed staying in various units here at Spider Lake Rentals when we need to be in this area. Each unit is updated with modern amenities and is super clean and free of clutter. Plenty of space for your bags, gear, groceries, etc… Excellent location and doordash even delivers if you want to enjoy your unit and not leave. And what we appreciate the most is the excellent communication from the hosts. They are extremely accommodating and responsive and helpful. We highly recommend staying here and will continue to book when we need to be in this area.
