Guests report significant issues with cleanliness and service at this property, including unexpected charges and filthy rooms. While the golf course itself receives positive feedback, the overall experience is marred by staff responsiveness and room conditions. Recent reviews suggest issues with customer service and course maintenance.
First of all when we arrived, they wanted to charge us an extra $400 after we had already paid for the room online so when my husband questioned it, the young lady at the front desk if that’s what you wanna call it called someone on the phone and she made the statement of you know remember us talking about Mr. Brantley so evidently they already knew that they have gave our room away because when we walked into the room, it was a two bedroom and we had booked a one bedroom so when we walked into this two bedroom room straight, filthy nasty it hadn’t been cleaned. I included pictures of how nasty the room was or/is and as far as service there is no service because there is really no front desk. It’s all in the restaurant/bar. That’s where you check in then they call this place a resort. I don’t know what their definition of a resort is, but my definition of a resort is where everything is there that you need. This was not these are like cabin like apartment style rooms. I mean it is nice that you have a full kitchen, refrigerator and everything in the balcony the room would’ve been so bad if it was actually cleaned ceiling fans were full of dust the floor has not been vacuumed or mopped. The bathrooms are nasty.. Very disappointed because this place cost 200 and something dollars a night and it wasn’t even cleaned then you look into the closet they have cleaning supplies and all the closet. I mean it is nice that they have a washer and dryer, but I will definitely not be using it so this is the reason why I gave this place a one star will not be back will not recommend. One good thing about this property is the golf course was very nice. Very scenic place but the rooms if you want to golf at this place stay somewhere else.
Golf course was phenomenal. What was not phenomenal was my 11 year old son forgot his golf shoes so the very helpful man in the Sundance pro-shop was helpful enough to find a pair close to his size and sell them to me without providing me a receipt of purchase. Now I understand why, they were $280 golf shoes! For an 11 year old!!!!!!
Had a tee time with a group. They let the group go early and didn’t bother to tell me knowing I was there already, and when I asked they said “just catch up.” Since the last pro left, there is zero customer satisfaction. I sat on number 11, waiting 15 minutes for the grounds crew to do the traps, never even bothered to move so I could play. They don’t clean your clubs when you’re done, the golf course is a 10 but management is a 0.
All around great experience and course. The day before, we played Treetops, which ended up being a nearly six-hour round. The next day, we drove over to A-Ga-Ming to play Sundance, and it was a completely different experience. Upon entering the clubhouse, we were greeted by a friendly staff and an awesome dog. Teeing off on a Sunday morning with a threesome, we didn’t have to wait on any hole and finished just under four hours. The course was in fantastic condition, and the greens ran true. The food at the clubhouse was delicious, and the prices for everything were extremely reasonable for the caliber of facility. We are looking forward to going back in the fall.
Recently visited A-Ga-Ming during a family members birthday celebration trip. I had always heard great things about the course and was happy to finally get to experience it! We played the Torch and it offered a challenging and scenic 18 holes. The views of Torch lake on a few holes were spectacular. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly. The food in the club house was solid! Breakfast sammich and a Bloody Mary got the festivities kicked off right! I’ll definitely be back to check out the other 18 sometime.
